About PyroRisk
Mission
PyroRisk exists to share fire and fire safety knowledge with everyone — from a curious kid asking why a candle flickers, to a deep researcher studying thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries. Fire is one of the oldest technologies humans live with, and one of the most misunderstood. Knowledge about it should be accessible to everybody, not locked behind paywalls, jargon, or specialist training.
This site distills research, testing, and engineering knowledge into articles you can actually read — clear enough for a beginner, rigorous enough for a professional.
About the author
I'm D.C. DINH, a fire safety researcher and postdoctoral fellow at Université de Poitiers, Institut Pprime. My work focuses on battery fire safety, thermal runaway, and fire testing methodology.
